About Us

Our church is about teaching the Word...

Teaching from the Word how to live Godly lives. To give glory, praise, and thanks to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We believe in learning from the Word how to  be ready for Jesus Christ's soon return. Mat. 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (KJV). See 'We Believe.'

Our church is about children and young people...

Children's knowledge of and relationship with the Trinity is just as important as ours. They are also the light of the world and are special to Jesus. We are blessed with teachers who are led by the Spirit and knowledgeable of God's Word. Our teachers convey the Word in a way young minds can understand and enjoy. We include our children in regular services and also have a Children's Sabbath monthly. Mat. 19:14 "Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (NIV).

    Our church is about community...

In February 2017, we opened a monthly food distribution service to our community. It now includes personal items. We also distribute Commodity Service Food Program boxes to the eligible senior citizens in our community. Our organizer is in much prayer that it be God's will that space be made for clothing. We have held financial classes, hosted evangelism series, and are making plans for more programs and Bible study series in the future. Although we are small in numbers, we believe Jesus is leading us. Mat. 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" (KJV).

The world's acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as saviour has greatly diminished.  We, as members of the  Hillsborough SDA Church, stand on the Word of God and teach Rom. 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (KJV).

We are living in the last days, however, we live for tomorrow. We have, by God's grace and through others' generosity, been given the wherewithal to begin remodeling of the current church facility. We also have in place plans for adding on to our church building to be ready for those souls that God will provide before the great falling away.

Mark 2:17 "When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance”(NKJ).
